Product Info
The Winnox is a nozzle-mix, low-emissions burner designed for direct and indirect air heating, as well as oven applications up to 1800°F (980°C). The burner package includes a combustion air blower and ratio regulator to fire over a wide gas turndown range at a controlled ratio.
Preventive Maintenance Schedule
Monthly:
- Inspect flame-sensing devices for good condition and cleanliness
- Check for proper inlet air/gas ratios
- Test all the alarm systems for proper signals
- Check ignition spark plugs and proper gap
- Check valve motors and control valves for free, smooth action and adjustment
- Check for proper operation of the ventilating equipment
- Test the interlock sequence of all safety equipment
- Test flame monitoring control system by manually shutting off gas to burner
- Test main fuel hand-valves for operation
- Clean or replace the combustion air blower filter
- Inspect and clean the combustion air blower rotor
Yearly:
- Test (leak test) safety shut-off valves for tightness of closure
- Test air pressure switch settings by checking switch movements against pressure settings and comparing with actual impulse pressure
- Visually check ignition cable and connectors
- Inspect impulse piping for leaks
- Clean and inspect all the burners
- Inspect burner nozzle, spark plugs, flame sensors, and flame tube or combustion block for damage or distortion
- Remove and clean all the orifice plates, if applicable

Troubleshooting
- Start-up sequence runs but burner does not light:
- Restore power to the ignition transformer
- Repair or replace the wiring to the igniter
- Clean the igniter
- Clean the threads of the igniter and the burner
- Inspect the igniter and replace if broken
- Inspect ignitor by removing nozzle and rear cover, check for gaps and readjust if needed
- Check the start-up setting and measure the gas pressures, adjust where necessary
- Repair any leaks in the impulse line to the ratio regulator
- Adjust the bypass or low fire gas
- Check the solenoid valve coil for proper operation and replace if necessary
- Check the wiring to the automatic gas shutoff valve and the output from the flame safeguard
- Adjust the ratio regulator to the proper setting
- Inspect and clean the flame rod and/or UV scanner lens, replace if necessary
- Burner goes out when it cycles to high fire:
- Check the start-up settings and measure the gas pressures, adjust them where necessary
- Repair the leak in the loading line to the ratio regulator
- Adjust the ratio regulator to increase the gas flow
- Set fuel bypass pressure per technical data, make minor adjustments to the fuel bypass ALO valve as needed
- Burner is erratic and does not respond to adjustment:
- Contact Eclipse for further information, as there may be internal damage to the burner
- Burner is unstable or produces soot, smoke, or excessive carbon monoxide:
- Measure all the gas pressures and air pressures, compare to the documented initial start-up settings and adjust them where necessary
- Burner cannot achieve full capacity:
- Clean or replace the air filter
- Adjust the gas pressure going into the ratio regulator
- Cannot initiate a start sequence:
- Check air pressure switch adjustment, air filter, blower rotation, and outlet pressure from blower
- Check incoming gas pressure, adjust if necessary, and check pressure switch setting and operation
- Have a qualified electrician troubleshoot and correct any issues with the flame safeguard system or control unit
- Ensure the main power to the system is switched to the ‘On’ position
