Product Info

The Expanding Wing Drag Pro Rear Mounted Plow is a heavy-duty snowplow designed for commercial and residential use. It features an 8-foot blade that can expand up to 16 feet wide, allowing for efficient snow removal. The plow is compatible with a variety of vehicle models and can be easily mounted and dismounted.

Preventive Maintenance Schedule

Daily:

  • Check the hydraulic cylinders
  • Check the hydraulic-fluid level
  • Check the hydraulic lines and hoses

Troubleshooting

  • The pump motor does not run:
    • Connect the power/ground cables or control cables
    • Check the pump motor and replace if failed or seized
    • Check the cable between the battery and solenoid and replace if disconnected or broken
    • Check the solenoid and replace if failed
    • Check the power from the relay and connect if disconnected
  • The pump continues to run while the switch is in neutral:
    • Replace the solenoid if failed in the closed position
    • Check for a short between the black and white/black wire in the controller and replace if necessary
    • Replace the switch if failed
  • The plow does not lower:
    • Connect the power/ground cables or control cables if not connected
    • Open the flow-control valve
    • Check the wiring on the valve block
    • Check the solenoid valve or valve coil and replace if failed
    • Check the power from the relays and connect if disconnected
  • The plow lowers too fast:
    • Close the flow-control valve to the desired drop speed
  • The plow does not raise or raises slowly:
    • Check and fill the hydraulic-fluid level
    • Connect the power/ground cables or control cable
    • Check the wiring on the valve block
    • Check and replace the battery if weak
    • Check and replace the motor brushes if bad
    • Check and clean or replace the pressure relief valve
    • Replace the worn pump
    • Replace the Raise control solenoid valve if not opening completely
    • Replace the Lower control solenoid valve if stuck open
