Product Info

The PVS300 transformerless string inverter converts direct current (DC) generated by the solar arrays to single phase alternating current (AC). The AC is then fed to either the public electricity grid or to a load circuit which is connected to the public electricity grid. PVS300 is suitable for small and medium-size photovoltaic (PV) systems. PVS300 is designed for installation in air-cooled outdoor rated enclosures.

Preventive Maintenance Schedule

Weekly:

  • Check event log

Yearly if the inverter is indoors with restricted access:

  • Check connections

Monthly:

  • Check operation of the cooling and stirring fans
  • Check the environment
  • Cleaning

Troubleshooting

  • Overcurrent:
    • Check if the AC side circuit breaker has tripped
    • Try to reset the fault and restart the inverter
  • DC bus overvoltage:
    • Check and record the DC voltage reading
    • If the DC voltage is over 900 V, turn the DC switch to the OFF position and wait for the voltage to decrease
    • Inform your system supplier about the DC bus overvoltage fault
  • Ground current fault:
    • Power down the inverter
    • Check that no people, animals or other objects are in danger or in contact with electrical parts of the PV system
    • Check visually that there are no faults or burn marks around the cabling of the PV system
    • If the system looks normal then try to restart the inverter
    • If the inverter returns to ‘Ground fault state’, immediately isolate the inverter from all power sources and request a service visit
  • Ground impedance fault:
    • Power down the inverter
    • Check visually that there are no faults or burn marks around the cabling of the PV system
    • If the system looks normal then try to restart the inverter
    • If the inverter returns to ‘Ground fault state’, immediately isolate the inverter from all power sources and request a service visit
  • Inverter overtemperature:
    • Check the installation environment temperature
    • Check if the cooling fan is running and that air is flowing out from the rear of the inverter
    • Check that the cooling fan is clean
    • Check if the stirring fan is running
    • Check that the stirring fan is clean
