Product Info
The EL6010 gas analyzer is used for continuous quantitative determination of individual gas components in gas mixtures. It is capable of measuring non-flammable and flammable gases under atmospheric conditions which can form an explosive environment. The gas analyzer is designed and certified for use in explosion risk areas.
Preventive Maintenance Schedule
Annually:
- Verify the integrity of the sample and reference gas paths.
- Measure the calibration cell on the EL6010-Uras14 (recommended).
Daily:
- Purge the gas paths with dry fresh air or nitrogen for at least 5 minutes.
Monthly:
- Verify that all parts of the housing are fully tightened and secured with set screws.
- Check the integrity of the sample and reference gas paths.
Parts List
- EL6010-CU Control Unit: Performs processing and transmission of measured values, correction of sample values, control of device functions, display and control functions, and communication with external systems. (Part Number: Not Available)
- EL6010-Uras14 Analyzer Unit: Uses the NDIR (Non-Dispersive Infrared Absorption) technique to measure concentrations of one or two sample components. (Part Number: Not Available)
- EL6010-Magnos106 Analyzer Unit: Measurement principle is based on the specific paramagnetic behavior of oxygen. (Part Number: Not Available)
- EL6010-Caldos17 Analyzer Unit: Uses the different thermal conductivity of individual gases to measure the concentration of a sample component in a binary gas mixture. (Part Number: Not Available)

Product Specs Sheet
- Sample Gas Inlet Conditions (Atmospheric Conditions): Non-flammable and flammable gases under atmospheric conditions which can form an explosive environment. Inlet pressure pe ≤ 100 hPa (= 0.1 bar) or pabs ≤ 1,100 hPa (= 1.1 bar), temperature EL6010-Caldos17, -Magnos106 +5 to +50 °C, EL6010-Uras14 +5 to +45 °C, flow EL6010-Uras14 20 to 100 l/h, EL6010-Magnos106 20 to 60 l/h, EL6010-Caldos17 normally 10 to 90 l/h, min. 1 l/h.
- Sample Gas Inlet Conditions (Positive Pressure): Non-flammable and flammable gases under pressure. Inlet pressure pe ≤ 300 hPa (= 0.3 bar) or pabs ≤ 1,400 hPa (= 1.4 bar), temperature EL6010-Caldos17, -Magnos106 +5 to +50 °C, EL6010-Uras14 +5 to +45 °C, flow EL6010-Uras14 20 to 100 l/h, EL6010-Magnos106 20 to 60 l/h, EL6010-Caldos17 normally 10 to 90 l/h, min. 1 l/h.
- Sample Gas Dew Point: The sample gas dew point should be at least 5 °C below the lowest ambient temperature throughout the sample gas path. Otherwise a sample gas cooler or condensate trap is required.
- Corrosive Gases: The EL6010 gas analyzers must not be used for the measurement of corrosive gases.
- Gas Outlet Conditions: The outlet pressure should be equal to atmospheric pressure.
- Environmental Conditions: Air pressure range 600 to 1250 hPa, relative humidity max. 75 %, ambient temperature storage and shipping -25 to +65 °C, operation in compliance with sample-measuring data EL6010-Caldos17, EL6010-Magnos106 +5 to +50 °C, EL6010-Uras14 +5 to +45 °C, operation without jeopardizing explosion protection EL6010-Caldos17, EL6010-Magnos106 -20 to +50 °C, EL6010-Uras14 -20 to +45 °C.
Troubleshooting
- Erratic or implausible measured readings:
- Check the integrity of the sample gas path.
- Perform a leak test on the sample gas path.
- Blinking screen indicating a fault:
- Check the status messages and take the appropriate corrective actions (see Chapter 8).
- Unable to calibrate the gas analyzer:
- Perform a calibration reset to return the calibration to factory default values.
- Check the test gas concentrations and recalibrate as needed.
